The wood seems to be oak and I don't think that this item is old.
It will be more nice when you will have sandpapered it a little and waxed.
Total height is 24,4 cm ; the flat part has a width of 17 cm and a depth of 16,7 cm.
At 2 places, there are some defaults in the wood, but it is well located. Don't hesitate to request more photos.
